Turnbull is Boro Mania reader’s MOM for WBA match
By Shaun • Oct 1st, 2008 • Category: First TeamMiddlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has been voted the Boro Mania man of the match for the game at the Riverside against West Bromwich Albion.
Turnbull made a number of cracking saves to keep Boro alive in the game and though he will feel disappointed with the goal, he wasn’t helped out by his team mates.
This is the second time this season so far that Ross Turnbull has been named the Boro Mania man of the match, following his display against Sunderland. He continues to repay the faith shown in him by manager Gareth Southgate.

Rightly so.
I blame the players in the box mostly for the goal, not Turnbull.
He’s growing in stature and i have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to be great for us.
Deserves the number one jersey.
i agree, he was excellent and lately the players in front of him have not done enough. To suggest the defence is playing poorly because they’re not confident in the keeper is a complete kop out. Wheater, and i love the lad he was superb last season, is struggling for form at the moment and we are not settled at the back.
