There’s only one job in Qatar

By Ross • Sep 5th, 2008 • Category: Boro News

Joseph-Desire Job has moved to Qatari club Al Kharaitiyat from Nice on a three-year contract!

It seems like a lifetime ago that Joseph was at the club thinking about it.

Job had a great couple of years on Teesside. His most rembered goal will be the opening goal in the Carling Cup final in 2004!

Fan’s will remember the famous chant “Theres only one Job on Teesside.”

It’s not Job’s first try in the middle east as he also had a loan spell with Saudi club Al Ittihad when he was out of favour at Boro.

“I am looking forward to playing in the Qatari league, there are good players around there,” said Job.

“They pay good salaries and it is not a step back.”  Qatar is known for signing aging stars and paying them obscene amounts of money, so it looks like Job has gone over for a  last pay day before he calls time on his career. Personally i don’t blame him.

“Football has improved all over the world. I don’t have to prove anything. I have been good in any league I have been to.”

Boro Mania wishes him well in his new surroundings.
