Mido picks up the BoroMania man of the match for Portsmouth defeat
By Shaun • Sep 18th, 2008 • Category: First TeamThe Portsmouth game was not a great match for Boro fans by any stretch of the imagination, in fact the only real plus point was the continued goal scoring form of Mido.
It was the Egyptian striker who picked up the Boro Mania man of the match award, narrowly edging out Ross Turnbull.
My vote went to Boro’s young goalkeeper as I felt he was responsible for keeping Boro in the game and looking like picking up a point. Mido’s continued form must see him start at The Stadium of Light and I can see him getting on the scoresheet again.
This award moves Mido closer to Tuncay who still leads the early race for Boro Mania player of the season.

I also voted for Turnbull, Mido took his goal well but i don’t think any outfield players really stood out.
I voted for Turnbull aswell.
Apart from the first goal he let in, he was excellent.
