Injuries: Mido out of Egypt squad as injuries take their toll
By Ross • Oct 13th, 2008 • Category: Boro NewsNews revealed today by Egyptian team doctors have revealed that Mido has withdrawn from their midweek World Cup Qualifier against Djibout with a groin injury.
Mido's injury plight continues to wreak havoc with his Boro career and fans are still waiting to see him play on a regular basis. After such a good start to the season, the news will be devastating to those who were hoping to see him revitalised and playing a key role in the team, but unfortunately it's not to be.
The injury will no doubt make him a severe doubt for saturday's game against Chelski.
At the moment, our only fit strikers appear to be Afonso Alves and Jeremie Aliadiere.
Some good news on the injury front though is that Tuncay is due to be given bench time as he recovers his fitness after a gruelling knee injury sustained only a month ago. Tuncay has returned earlier than expected from what could have been a bad knee injury leaving him out for almost three months, but he could take his place on the bench as early as the Chelsea game to provide cover for Alves and Aliadiere. It seems unlikely he'll participate in any competitive fixture until the end of the month.
We've been hit hard on the injury front so far. currently there are no return dates for Julio Arca or Robert Huth but aside from Tuncay, Rhys Williams is due back at the start of next year.

It seems both Mido and Huth are made of glass. Hopefully he will be fit for Saturday because we are really light on strikers, especially on-form strikers
I think he will be fit to face Chelsea
