Gate delight at Arca return
By Ross • Dec 2nd, 2008 • Category: Boro NewsThe Gate has had to suffer the season without any real diversity in the Midfield area, but things are set to change with the return of Argie Julio Arca.
Arca has appeared only twice in a Boro shirt this season due to problems with an Ankle injury sustained in pre-season and will now be hoping to gain a foothold in the battle for a first team place.
It's not just good news for Gareth but for the squad. Arca offers a different dimension of play compared to O'Neill and Shawky. He's much more elaborate with the passes, plays forward to goal and looks to play the killer ball often, and with Digard providing added defensive cover aswell as battling forward in support, he can only shine in his role knowing he's backed up. It's time for the strikers to take advantage.
"Julio was out for a long time. He didn't have a proper pre-season and it took him a long time to shake off the injury.
"But he is a different type of player to anything else we have got." Gareth told the Evening Gazette.
"He is able to put his foot on the ball and slow the game down when it's needed. He's also very good at picking out the right pass, which helps the attacking players.
"We want to play good football, and Julio helps us in that respect.

great to see Arca back in the midfield, i thought him and Digard linked up well and there looked to be a decent partnership forming i thought.
Agreed, it was very promising indeed.
