Boro confirm Slovak deal
By Shaun • Nov 10th, 2008 • Category: Boro NewsBoro have confirmed, on the Official website, that a verbal agreement has been reached with MFK Kosice that will see teenage attacking midfielder Peter Gal-Andrezly join the club on a six month loan deal.
Gal-Andrezly will go into the reserve team in a bid, no doubt, to impress Southgate and the coaching staff enough to warrant a permanant deal.
It is interesting and encouraging to see Boro casting their net further afield in a bid to recruit highly rated young footballers and I look forward to seeing the young Slovakian in a Boro shirt alongside some of our own, home-grown young players.

This draws yet another comparison between Southgate and Wenger, in the recruitment of global young talent. I also admire Southgate’s approach in bringing players in with the long-term in mind. We’ve seen it in the past with Shawky and Alves, currently with Digard and Emnes, and now further ahead with this kid. If he proves he can adapt to life in England, he will be given a longer term deal. Very encouraging indeed.
