Armand a leg to sign Traore?

By Ross • Dec 2nd, 2008 • Category: Boro News

As the transfer rumours continue to mount, news is surfacing again. Another target reportedly on Southgate’s list is Arsenal’s 19-year old left full-back Armand Traore, who is currently on loan at Pompey.

He found himself an integral part of Harry Redknapp’s [now Tony Adams'] squad down south and has impressed enough during his 12 appearances to attract attention from other Premiership suitors.

It remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will let him leave, as he considers Traore to be part of the future at Arsenal, however Gareth is set to test the Frenchman’s resolve again, as he did with Hoyte, with a bid possibly starting at £3.5million.

Traore would go straight into the squad to apply pressure on Andrew Taylor, who many feel is not performing to the standard required.
