Advertise on Boro Mania - Get in early for cheap advertisements!
By Shaun • Oct 7th, 2008 • Category: Site NewsBoro Mania has opened up a rotating ad slot for potential buyers on the right hand side of the site. Managed by AdToll the adverts rotate on a regular basis and all impressions and clicks are monitored.
As you can see from the image below we are starting the advertising off at a really low $2 per week! Why you may ask? Well, as we have never used AdToll before we wanted to open up the adverts for a couple of weeks at a really low price so that we could gauge the service.
All you hve to do to advertise is head over to the AdToll website (or click on one of the links in the image above) and set up your account. Place an order to advertise on our site and your advert will start showing up.
The stats in the image above show 16 clicks for last week however that was with non-relevant adverts showing so if you own a Middlesbrough business or any kind of Sports related site then you should see a very good return for your spend.

Isn’t the Alexa rank a waste of time? thats what i’ve heard?
It certainly isn’t an accurate measure of a site’s popularity that’s for sure and i put no stock in it at all. I don’t personally have the Alexa toolbar installed and dont know anyone who does so it is a bit of a flawed system.
yeah i used to have a blog and read about alexa rankings a lot. This is a good explanation from a SEO website:
“The problem with Alexa is that it draws data only from people who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their web browser. Since it’s mostly marketers and tech types who have even heard of Alexa (and not your mom, aunt Sylvia or your best friend Joe), the results tend to skew toward the types of sites marketers and tech types enjoy.”
