4 Months on, going from strength to strength
By Shaun • Dec 1st, 2008 • Category: Featured ArticlesWell 4 months since this site was launched (actually it’s closer to 5 months but I missed the “anniversary” date in November!) and BoroMania continues to go from strength to strength. This is a quick post to say thank you, recap how far we have come in a short time and look ahead to future plans.
Gratitude
I’ll try to keep this brief so as not to drone on like some lame Oscar acceptance speech, thanking everybody under the sun.
There are a few people who have made the early success of this site possible and i’d like to thank them for taking the time to get involved. Particularly Ross, who joined the site early on, who has contributed some excellent articles to the site and even effectively ran the site whilst I was away on holiday. Thanks also to Daniel who has recently joined the team and added some top quality articles to the site.
We have also had articles and information sent to us from people who wished to remain nameless and I would also like to thank them, they know who they are.
I am actively seeking out others who would like to join our team as a volunteer writer, so if you are interested contact us.
Also a massive thank you to you, the readers, who have kept this site going with your comments. I know all the writers like to see comments from readers, feedback is always a good thing.
Where we are now and future plans
The site has come a long way in it’s first few months, it now has 3 people regularly writing for it and has developed a decent following. We have launched our Middlesbrough Forum which is ticking along nicely with a small group of users right now, it’s very early days yet for the forum though.
For the future I have a redesign planned, nothing major just an improvement on the current design. I will be actively promoting the site and the forum in a bid to increase the registered users. I also have plans to release Desktop backgrounds and anybody interested in design or handy in photoshop who would like to showcase their work can contact me to discuss options.
You can also drop us an email if you have a suggestion on site improvements or would like to join the team in another capacity (we don’t just need writers), if you’d like to get on board and help promote the site or become a Mod for the forums etc. get in touch.
Once again thanks to everyone who has contributed to the initial success the site has enjoyed.
